Synopsis:
Atmaja (Born Within)
Sujata, a school teacher, has two sons - Ajay and Bijay. Sujata's family survives on her earnings as her husband is sick and unemployed. Her elder son Ajay gets involved in politics and in pursuit of his mission of changing society, he becomes a victim of political annihilation. Bijay runs away from his family to find a place in the sun. Meanwhile, Sujata's husband dies and she continues her life with Ajay's memory as her only solace.
Years later, Sujata comes to stay with Bijay but to her utter shock, she finds that Bijay seems a total stranger to her. The way of life he has chosen, the life of the cocktail circuit, a life where the bond of human emotions does not exist, is completely alien to Sujata. At times, Bijay also feels the pangs of his self contradiction but he is too feeble to come out of the rut. For Sujata, her existence becomes a vertible life in death.
At this jucture, Sujata meets a young man named Bidyut who shares the views of Ajay. Sujata finds Ajay's resurrection and gradually there comes a recovery of faith.
One night, Sujata dreams she is lying pregnant in a vast expanse of forest. Suddenly there appears a cradle. On this cradle, there are Ajay, Bidyut and millions of their like, swinging in the cradle. Sujata becomes the midwife of revolution.
