Shamik began his social media influencing journey back in 2016, by making memes. He says he has devoted himself to content creation since then and believes that regional content is the big thing. Baban to his followers, this Behala Boy makes sure he remains grounded in friendships and at home to stay relevant and relatable online.

Here to achieve more, Shamik had let go of his job at placements because he believed that his confidence in content creation would give him happiness and also the chance to appear on people's screens. Starting his journey with just an android phone placed on a laptop screen to shoot, Shamik believes that creativity comes with boredom.

Shot at Deepalay Heritage in Fern Road which houses vintage furniture and a 300 yr old piano, it is renovated to a homestay serving authentic bengali cuisine.
